To ensure that we continue to keep up the good work may I take this time to remind you to adhere to infection prevention policies like thorough hand washing, not wearing uniforms on public transport , wearing the correct protective gear when looking after clients...etc
As part of infection prevention please wash your uniforms after every shift and if you do not have enough uniforms please get in touch with us so we can provide you with more.
This is to protect you , your family and the clients . DO NOT wear uniforms on public transport , in supermarkets or public places. Viruses can stay on clothes for up to 24 hrs .

These are challenging times and need a great deal of effort from all our behalves to flatten the curve of the spread of COVID-19

WHAT IS COVID 19
In late December 2019 a new coronavirus was identified in China causing severe respiratory disease including pneumonia. Now this dangerous infection is spreading between people globally. As a newly identified virus there is currently no human immunity to it and no vaccine is available to prevent infection. As a viral infection, antibiotics are not an effective treatment.
In this fast-changing and overwhelming situation, the guidance for healthcare workers and health and social care services is being developed and updated frequently alongside a growing understanding of the infection risk of this new virus, incubation time, infectiousness and severity of the infection.
What we do to protect our staff and community
All care and nursing staff are exposed to the risks however our team will continue assisting our clients with shifts covering as much as safe to do so. However we all may anxious by what the read in the media and both us and the Clients do our best to ensure that all nursing staff are provided with factual information on COVID-19. It is important for us to know the steps that the Client is taking to identify and manage suspected cases and what nursing staff can do to protect themselves, including reinforcing hand hygiene.
All our office staff works from home. Our created Sumo Optimus Solutions software (add website link) enables us to do so easily without compromising on quality of communication or limitations in work processes. We would also like to use this opportunity to offer support to other businesses which are made to work from home and try our software for free for 1 month - do not miss this free chance to see how it could help you at this difficult time and maybe offer more flexibility in the future!
We are guided by the local authorities not to provide staff to the healthcare placements where there are any positive or symptomatic to Covid-19 service users in order to protect from spreading in the wider community. However in exceptional circumstances the Staff who may be required by the Client to deliver clinical care to affected patients, should have the necessary skills and experience and be provided with training and information on any additional infection prevention and control measures needed to work in such environments including the safe donning and removal of PPE.
We do our best to work consistently and also advise our clients to book the same staff to limit to the placements they are attending and in that way to reduce the risks of infection spreading.
All nursing staff and healthcare support workers, must keep up to date and familiarise themselves with newest national guidance issued by UK government and relevant UK public Health agencies, policies on emergency planning, infection prevention and control at this extraordinary time. We support our staff by sending reminders about infection control, updates and new guidelines to our staff regularly that everyone would be up to date with the latest news.
